Wine and Shine

I started this painting early last year.   I got it to a point and then I just wasn't "feeling it".   So I almost scrapped it but instead put it aside.    I brought it back out a few weeks ago and finished it.

The painting had many elements to accomplish;  Transparency and shine of the bottle, the flame, the cast shadows on the wall behind, the transparent, clean, shiny appearance of the glasses and the reflected shine on the wood tabletop.    I took them one item at a time until the painting finally began to come to life for me. 
Now I'm glad I didn't give up on it.  :)  Tracy
