Observing White

Lemons in White.  White can be difficult to paint because it isn't really white.  In this painting it's grays, blues and yellows with very few actual touches of white.   Yet you still know that there is a white towel in the background, a white bowl, a white napkin and a white cloth on the tabletop, each having its own variation of white.
The light coming in on all the white also makes a difference in how it appears, casting blue shadows.
Warm white, cool white, titanium white, zinc white.....  What "color" is your white?     :) Tracy
