Mystery Painting - Revealed!
A few days ago I posted the beginning of one of my paintings, this was the photo:
Here is the revealed finished painting:
I called this painting "Without Substance". The pink tablecloth and gleaming dishware are pretty, but without substance.
Its meant to send the message that the outside can be deceiving, instead what really matters is what fills the inside. Dishes are pretty but they aren't really any good if they don't fulfill their purpose, instead they just take up space. The same is true of humans. In this world of reality show enticement and facebook flash, let's be people that work on fulfilling our purpose and not just putting on a pretty appearance.
