Watercolor Paint DIY Cards
There are days/times when my brain needs a rest and doing something mindless or creative helps me to de-stress. This could be doodling, cutting pretty paper for paper crafts, working on a puzzle or coloring in a coloring book. Sometimes I sit and experiment with paint, playing with color and techniques and just have fun in the process.
I don't think I am unique in this, I think you have days and times like this as well. Our brains are so busy trying to keep up with so many things. Engaging in creative activities help to de-stress by lowering cortisol levels, fostering a "flow state" of focused relaxation, and providing an emotional outlet Studies show that even 45 minutes of creative activity—such as painting, writing, or crafting—can significantly reduce stress.
To help get your creativity flowing I have put together some Do It Yourself watercolor kits that allow you the opportunity to paint one card and experiment. There is a variety of subjects to choose from and you can follow my completed one or step out and paint it your way.
The kits come with a watercolor paper card with a line drawing printed on it, an envelope, a mini paint palette that is enough for one card, and a brush. All you need is water and few other simple supplies. They are 5 x 7 and come in a cello sleeve. These are also nice when your on vacation and you want to send a card back home or have something for the kids to do on a rainy day. They can be used as a thank you, sympathy, birthday, thinking of you, and of course a note card.
There is a New England series and a Tropical series and you can find them here.
